On March 1, 2018, the General Director of Uzstandard Agency A.U.Karimov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Sayyod Shahabuddin Timuri.

During the meeting, the sides considered practical aspects of the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent contacts of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani.

The Ambassador of Afghanistan Sayyod Shahabuddin Timurinoted that, as horizon of  trade between two countries is expanding, the agreements signed between two countries will surely remove many technical barriers lies ahead of the mutual trade and smooth the path in the future.

General Director of Uzstandard Agency A.U.Karimov and The Ambassador of Afghanistan Sayyod Shahabuddin Timurias well as exchanged views on issues of inviting Afghanistan National Standard Authority (ANSA) delegation to Tashkent. Head of  Uzstandard Agency welcomed the next stage of cooperation and agree on setting up a task force to accomplish the goals set for this agreement.

Also Mr. Karimov said that meeting with Afghanistan National Standard Authority (ANSA) delegation will undoubtedly provide first and best opportunity to talk on issues of mutual interests including joint venture for providing services on conformity assessment of products.

At the end of meeting the two sides agreed to adhere to the guidelines of long-term stability, looking into the future, good-neighborly friendship and comprehensive cooperation, as well as the spirit of good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners, and advance their partnership in a sustained, healthy and steady way.
