Every year the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) conducts a global ISO survey that shows the number of valid certifications in accordance with ISO management standards (such as ISO 9001 and ISO 22000) reported annually for each country.

ISO 2018 results data for quality management system certificates show that 878,664 certificates have been issued by conformity assessment bodies. The top ten certified countries include China, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, France, and Italy. In addition, the most certified industries are metallurgy, construction, electronic, automobile and engineering.

According to ISO statistics 2018, 32,120 certificates have been issued for food safety management system certificates. The ten most leading certified countries include China, India, Greece, Japan, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Italy, Romania.

The main feature that is implemented in the ISO 9001 quality management system is to meet the expectations and needs of the end user. ISO 9001 is the foundation of all quality systems and can be implemented by a large number of institutions and organizations of various sizes, working in a wide range of sectors.

ISO 22000 serves companies in the food industry and companies in the supply chain.

In this regard, the importance of the development and implementation of an integrated management system model, which is based on the ISO 22000 standard and the ISO 9001 standard, is relevant for the food industry enterprises.
