In accordance with the Decree of the President “On measures to expand and strengthen bilateral relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Republic,” with the aim of fulfilling the tasks in the action plan, a Memorandum between the State Enterprise “National Metrological Institute of Uzbekistan” under Uzstandard agency and the French National Metrology Organization (LNE)was signed by decision PP-4037 of November 28, 2018.

More than 100 specialists from national standardization organizations from 39 countries of the world during an international event discussed the development strategy of SMIIC 2016-2020, the compliance of Halal systems and services, key issues that determine the development prospects in the field of standardization, the development of standardization in high-tech sectors of the economy, and government participation in standardization, interstate cooperation, the use of IT as a modern tool in the field of standardization.

The Accreditation Center of Uzbekistan (UZAKK) and the United Arab Emirates National Accreditation System in the framework of the General Assembly of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Cape Town, South Africa on September 20,2019 in order to strengthen multilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ENAS.

More than 700 specialists from national standardization organizations from 165 countries discuss the development strategy of ISO 2030, ISO systems and services, modern standardization in high-tech sectors, interstate cooperation, identifying promising areas of development in the field of standardization, using IT technologies as a modern tool in the field of standardization.

As previously reported, the event “ISO WEEK 2019” has begun in Cape Town, South Africa. Within the framework of this event a meeting was held between the heads of national agencies of the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC).

 On September 16–20 this year, the events of “ISO 2019 Week” will be held in South Africa, in the city of Cape Town, and the 42nd meeting will be held by the General Assembly of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Meetings will include the activities of various ISO technical committees, quality improvement mechanisms for standardization systems in developing countries, sessions and a series of meetings on various standardization themes.

In order to assist entrepreneurs in exporting domestic products to China, bilateral cooperation was established with the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC).
